Co-host Pati Pierucci shares her experience with her new Pivo, a virtual training tracking camera device that she’s finding extremely useful for remote training:
“You need to have a tripod, it does need a little bit of stability, but I put in on a mounting block and it works great. You also need earbuds; I recommend the new noise-canceling ones… When you set up the Pivo, you have to be careful that you don’t ride too close to it because it can lose you…
The Pivo zooms in and out. This is kind of creepy, actually, but you can also set it up so that [a rider] can let [a remote instructor] control the zoom. So that I could be controlling the phone as you’re riding around. I have to tell you, it’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen…”
